Today we went shopping at @kendrascott Lily was picking out a necklace for her first school dance.
As we were heading to the register to checkout, one of the sales associates started talking to us and told us her name was Mayra. She said “I know you! You are Lily from Lily’s Toy Box!”
Lily and I were both shocked that she knew this. Mayra proceeded to share with us that her family had a house fire 2 years ago and Lily gifted toys to her kiddos.
I, of course, teared up as we listened to how much these toys meant to her family. After a hug, Mayra asked Lily what piece of jewelry she was purchasing and Lily showed her.
This is where the story gets even more incredible! Mayra immediately says to Lily “I’m buying this necklace for you. You did so much for my kids and I want to do something special for you.”
Thank you, Mayra. This is a moment that Lily and I will never forget and we have renamed the necklace “The Mayra.”
Remember friends, there is no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.
